Congratulations to Jordan Bentz and Corey Haugen students at the University of Oregon for winning the first annual More Than Promote® MashUp Award.
Bentz and Haugen’s (as they shall forever henceforth be known) mashup looked to packaging to deliver Corporate, Civic and Cultural Value to JuicyJuice as an extension of the brand's Growing Up Healthy campaign.
Campaign: Juicy Juice Starts
The concept: Retool JuicyJuice single serving boxes to be compostable so that they can be used to “start” seeds and then plant those seeds in the ground.
Corporate Value: Juicy Juice Starts would compliment their on going Growing Up Healthy campaign that educates kids on eating right and being healthy. “Starts” will increase that education with adding sustainable value to the campaign.
Civic Value: Provides less waste, increase composting.
Cultural Value: Educate young kids on alternative uses of products and growing their own produce.

We love this concept. It hits all the three value points of More Than Promote campaigns square on the nose. And while we loath marketing to kids (and most Disney tie-ins), we do like getting them out in the yard and growing their own healthy food. This could be a great way to make connection with ingredients too...time for a vegi-juice line.
Way to go Bentz and Haugen!
